High Security Irrigators Murrumbidgee represents the interests of high security water entitlements holders throughout the Murrumbidgee Valley. High Security Irrigators formed out of the Murrumbidgee Horticultural Council in 2009, with an aim of focussing on water related issues important to the holders of high security irrigation entitlement.

High Security Irriagtors - Murrumbidgee is a not - profit organisation. All funds collected are from members who are the holders of high security water entitlements within the Murrumbidgee Valley. A board of directors oversees the operations of the organisation on behalf of the members. The board is made up of High Security users and two independent directors who are appointed by the board for there skills in water policy and finance. All positions on the board of directors are voluntary.

On behalf of our members, we are currently fighting hard for the rights of high security irrigators in the face of the Basin Plan and the federal government buyback. We do this through our membership of NSW Irrigators Council and the National Irrigators Council; High Security Irrigators holds, to  a number of positions on boards such as the Murrumbidgee Customer Service Committee, to ensure that the rights of High Security Irrigators are always heard. 

On behalf of our members we are fighting to see unfair and non-competitive trading rules, under the New South Wales governments water sharing plans  (WSP) that apply to High Security Irrigators in the Murrumbidgee Valley are removed. This restriction unfairly s High Security Irrigators and distorts the water trading market.  

We have a voice that reaches all the way to government decision makers.

On behalf of our members High Security Irrigators provides and runs the "Murrumbidgee Water Exchange". The exchange trades water throughout the Murray Darling Basin. Our members receive discounted trading commissions. All profits from the trading activites are returned to the members via improved services, legal advice and resources projects, such as "Adapting to Climate Change"
